Tyres and batteries are the two things most likely to leave you stuck at the side of the road. We can check, supply and fit both.

Tyre tread and the law
The legal minimum tread depth for cars in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, all the way round. Grip in the wet drops off well before that, so many drivers change at around 3mm.
Quick check: put a 20p coin into the main grooves. If you can see the outer band of the coin, your tread may be close to the limit.
Signs a tyre needs looking at
- A bulge, cut or crack in the sidewall
- Wear on just the inside or outside edge (often a tracking problem)
- A tyre that keeps losing pressure
- Vibration that gets worse with speed
Car batteries
Short journeys don’t give the alternator long enough to recharge the battery, and cold mornings ask the most of it. If your car is slow to start, or the battery is more than about five years old, have it tested before winter.
Cars with stop-start usually need an AGM or EFB battery, and some need the new battery registering with the car’s computer. We’ll fit the right type for your car.
Common questions
Do you have my tyre size in stock?
[CONFIRM: tyre stock, brands and ordering time].
Can you test my battery?
Yes. A battery test is quick, and it tells you whether a slow start is the battery or something else.
