A regular service is the cheapest way to keep a car reliable. It catches worn parts before they turn into breakdowns, keeps the engine running on clean oil, and gives you a service history that counts when you come to sell.
We service all makes and follow the manufacturer’s schedule for your car, so you get the work your car actually needs.

What a service includes
Exactly what’s done depends on your car’s age, mileage and the manufacturer’s schedule, but a typical service covers:
- Engine oil and oil filter change
- Coolant, brake fluid and screenwash checked and topped up
- Air, fuel and cabin filters checked or replaced as scheduled
- Brakes inspected: pads, discs, pipes and hoses
- Tyres checked for tread, damage and pressure
- Lights, wipers and battery checked
- Steering, suspension and exhaust inspected
- Service book or digital record updated
Interim, full and major services

Keeping your manufacturer warranty
You don’t have to go back to a main dealer to keep your warranty. The law allows any garage to service a car under warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses parts of matching quality. Ask us how we handle this for your car.
How often to service
Most cars need a service every 12 months or after a set mileage, whichever comes first. Your handbook or dashboard will tell you which.
Island driving tends to mean short trips, and short trips are hard on oil because the engine rarely gets fully warm. Low annual mileage isn’t a reason to stretch the gap between services.
Common questions
How long does a service take?
[CONFIRM: typical time for each service level].
Can I have my service and MOT on the same day?
Yes. Book both and the car is only off the road once.
Will you tell me before doing extra work?
Yes. If we find something beyond the service that needs attention, we’ll ring you with a price first and only go ahead if you say so.
What parts do you use?
[CONFIRM: parts policy, e.g. OE or OE-matching quality].
